She got abysmal compliments for her pretty eyes,
All he saw was contained sadness and immature lies.
They all admired her caring and forgiving aura,
And all he witnessed was timid and arrogant senora.

reH hopeless days inundated into nocturnal nights,
Venting anger by scaring him then labelling it pillow fight.
yehT both had different interpretations of love,
Swinging between seeing her smile to making him cry.

With melting glaciers, even their commitment went thin,
It started by praising other men ended by hiding pics in the bin.
Yet they kept asserting to each other they won’t drift apart.
Piece after piece she continued smashing his broken heart.

eH started pinning women the way board is chased by a dart,
For more than two monsoons they have been apart.
woN she recursively calls seeking redemption before a fresh start,
Manipulating him was her staple practice from the very start.

The beauty of tears is that they made him look weak from outside,
but crying all by himself gave him strength from inside.
As he learned to accept the vulnerable him and practised self-care,
He started spotting narcissists and needy just by taking a stare.

Whirling in thought chain to plan and avenge his every tear,
At last he mumbled: She ain’t worth investing this much time dear.
eyE for an eye may sound like a perfect egneveR
remembeR
you both might go blind in this pursuit of genevA
